lol copenhagen interpretation

I had a dream just as I woke up that I was staying an extra night with my darlings. I woke up with a actual =( face. Needless to say I fixed that pretty sharpish, but nonetheless it was a lame way to wake up. I had a bath for the first time since getting back from the states... it was glorious. My legs are all beautiful and smooth again, and I used ( Read more... )

I used a bath foam/shower gel I found in Tesco's for £2.00 both as soap and in the bathwater and it smelled exactly like vanilla syrup and I had a whibbly face the whole time because it smelled so good. I can still smell it very subtly on my skin and it's like walking around in a haze of deliciousness.

*giggles* I know!

Incidentally, it's not really brilliantly advertised on there (at least, I had to be told about it before I found it), but they sell samples in little containers called "Imps' Ears" in groups of six for $18 American, so you can see which scents you like without having to pay $15 per bottle sight unsmelled.

Also, check out the forum, they have rather a lot of customer reviews, people describing the scents and how they come across in reality (not just what's in the mix but what's dominant and what mingles together, etc) . . . sometimes you'll be able to tell from that if something is or isn't what you want.

For example, many of the reviewers of Lust warn you NOT to wear it if you plan on ever leaving the bedroom that day, it's that alluring.

Yeah, their naming system is atmospheric but really, really stupid. They have a long list of really uninformative words and you have to click on everything to see what it is... =_= some rollover text would even have been a help.

...Lust sounds like the kind of thing I would immediately wear on a busy day ._.; That's great, though. If it's $18 in America, I don't really feel like paying the extra postage to England, so I might just wait until I'm back in Seattle for Christmas and order then. :3 Canny Rihatsu is so canny...

"you are in various physically possible states across all universes in which you exist"

No. I only exist on this one.

By definition of who I am, the self-awareness of this person in this world, which is the only one I can experience, yes, I only exist here.

But your subjective awareness, of which your self-awareness is a part, is wrong about a lot of things. Time, for example. Interplanetary orbit. If we only relied on our subjective awareness of things we would have very little knowledge of reality.

In fact, you do not only exist here.

But how can an actual, physical person both exist and not exist? Either he's present or not, surely. Does it at least make more sense in the narrative?

Uh, yeah. The Copenhagen Interpretation is a lot of balls. :B

It makes sense in the narrative, sure, but so do vampires and werewolvs and whatever. Making sense in the narrative isn't really a big thing. xD;
