I love Marshall McLuhan. I think he was quite a prescient theorist, as far as things like that go, and I wish he was alive today to see & comment on the internet. This Canadian comedy group The Vestibules wrote a song about him once, I always thought it was pretty funny

Oh, Marshall McLuhan. I plan on revisiting him a lot next year, hopefully. McLuhan, bell hooks and Laura Mulvey, definitely, but fuck Bourdieu. Whenever Bourdieu comes up in conversation I just want to punch someone.

BUT THIS COMMENT ACTUALLY HAS A PURPOSE. Other than dredging up memories of academia. I wanted to apologize for falling down so hard on Dante. I haven't looked at GYO in a little bit but I so want them to thread again. It could be even lulzier than it has been thus far.
