This was only four ounces-- a quarter of what you did. But yes, drafting as you spin helps, and the wheel's continuous motion makes for crazy fast production.
Also, I'm finding 2-plying on a wheel way less awkward than doing it on a spindle-- since you have both hands free to handle the yarn, it's easier to keep it under tension and prevent tangling.
What a delightful transformation! The colors are very Annesque now. Me thinks they would go well with they sparkly linen striped pants we both own. Happy spring to you too, hope the ritual tomorrow is wonderful. Bummed we can't be there.
I was working with my drop spindle some more (pre-drafting the yarn) and just as I really felt like I was getting some nice and even twist AND thickness, I ran out of roving... I think there is more of what you gave me up in the office.
