Sorry I haven't been posting as I'd have liked to, guys. I actually have shit to say this time!

1. I FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got my learner's permit yesterday! It was...frighteningly easy. My only problem is that instead of the six months I thought it would have me to get my for real driver's license, I have twenty days. Holy shrimp, twenty days. o

Wow look at you being all grown up and what nots...I really need to get on that whole get my license thing too...seeing as how i've got my permit i just never bothered to go back and get the actual license...it's that whole follow through thing that i don't have.

But props for the starting of the 401k...is it through work or outside of work? Despite what some optimistic people are saying I'm convince Social Security will not be there when we get to retiring age, doesn't matter who's in office.

The 401K (technically it's called 403b) is through a business that supports teachers and LSW bank. I really recommend you start saving as well, especially if you know that about Social Security. We only have ourselves.

I'm there with you! The county provides a retirement fund that I have to automatically give money too but after reading recently articles of states going broke and depleting their state retirement funds I started an Roth IRA with Principal.

I try to explain this to the other young hires who came in with me but ehh it's their future.
