I'm pretty sure that with a combination of sales, coupons, and rebates, I just made it so that Rite-Aid is going to pay me $22 for accepting a bag of stuff I needed. I rule.

I only got bitten by Felix once yesterday, on the scalp. (See here if that statement confuses you.) This is admittedly the first time he's gotten the scalp badly enough to ( Read more... )

Paying you to accept a bag of stuff you need = awesome. And, darlin', it means you're already prepared for a Depression. ;-)

Will Dungeons & Dragons (and other role playing games) gain favor in a modern Depression? Af, this sort of entertainment teralloption is quite inexpensive when you break it down to it's core elements.

do you two just D&D together or do you have a group of people? We stopped by a huge scifi bookstore/gamestore in Stockholm and it was so nice. The DC area is really lacking in that department.

Well, it was just me and L, and our friend as the DM, but just last weekend we had another guy join the party, which is Teh Awesome. Yeah, I've been super disappointed by the selection of gaming stores around here. L and I went on an Odyssey one weekend to visit a bunch of them, and some were okay and most sucked. None of them was in DC, which I found really strange. We had lots of gamer friends in Charlotte, and I've missed that. We play D&D with this one guy, but then we only ever play other stuff when we see our Charlotte friends. Do you play?

My boyfriend plays although most of the time he's just on WoW now days. I've never played because somehow boys never thought I'd be interested in it and none of my female friends played. But seriously I suspect that given my love of RPGs I would really enjoy it. I'd also really like to play some of the more involved board games with people. Like settlers of catan or arkham horror (this one looks so fun http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/15987). Somehow there is never time or people for it though.

Holy crap, that does look fun!! Looks like you can get it for about $20 on eBay (I love that marketplace feature boardgamegeek has). Tempting...

We have several games that you can play with two people, but are much more fun with more, and there are lots and lots of awesome board games I haven't even bothered getting for that reason. Cults Across America is one of the many I'd love to try. We also already have Munchkin and almost all of the SlugFest games. Do I feel a potential game night group coming on??
