Okie dokie y'all. We Mods have been wracking our brains and have decided to bring the issue to the Community. We've got approximately 200 people who watch/have joined the community, yet every month we're really struggling to get entries to the Resource Challenges. So it's time for some input from y'all. We want to know what we need to do to get more participation, so here's where you come in.
I'm throwing some questions out there so I can get some ideas, and all you have to do is answer them. :)
What resources would you MOST enjoy making for the Challenges? Brushes? Textures? Bases? Gradients? Tutorials? Something else?
Is a month per Challenge enough time, or too much time?
Is there anything that we SHOULD be doing in these Challenges that we haven't done in the past? What rules do you want to see in the challenges?
If you have considered entering previous challenges, but didn't do it, why didn't you?
What ideas do YOU have to encourage participation?
Any other input?
Please reply in comments to this post. They are unscreened so that everyone can provide feedback, find things we can all agree on, etc. We Mods don't want to feel like we're being too pushy when we do these challenges, but we'd LOVE more participation from you guys. :)
Edited To Add: Reading some of your feedback has given me an idea, and I'd like to share it and see what y'all think.
What if we start off the first half of the month by doing a themed resource challenge like
meleada mentioned in her comments
here, and then the last half of the month, we could have the icon challenge, using the three entries from the resource challenge for that month that receive the most votes?
I think to do that, everyone who enters the resource challenge would have to agree to the possibility of their resources being released immediately after the resource challenge ends and being used for the icon challenge, though.
