I completely sympathized with Marui through this entire piece. And I'm a little annoyed at Jackal for not realizing why Marui was so out-of-sorts. Marui wasn't exactly hiding the fact that he hated Olivia and Jackal's smart enough to put two and two together. But I digress.
"He and Jackal-kun, are having issues right now-a girl causing strife," Yagyuu says.
*laughs and laughs* Yanagi and Yagyuu talking in haiku! That is absolutely priceless and inspired.
The whole pop music element really made me grin in this story. I love that song "Girlfriend" and I giggled when Marui and Jackal sing lines to each other. And Marui's conversation with the pop princesses was great.
His laughter makes him stumble over, but when Jackal stumbles into him, it's like the best damn thing. My heart really warmed at that line. Because you did an excellent great job at evoking Marui's loneliness/frustration when he thinks he's losing his best friend (and oh, how I know how that feels) and so when things turn out all right, it's very satisfying

Oh, the annoyance was a product of over-identifying with Marui and in no way inhibited me from enjoying the story. And the miscommunication was necessary to the story to make it work and now I'm just gonna be quiet because I'm spouting things you already know!
God, Allison, that was hilarious and amazing! I love your Bunta especially when he's around Niou and Jackal *wibbles* Also, "Marui-kun, do you mind?" he asks. Best scene ever (the one in which Marui's "asking" his posters for advice excluded).
Oh god, this is so refreshing. I love how you write Marui. The scenes where he talked to his posters and went to Starbucks with Yanagi and Yagyuu are my favorites, I think. I love how Niou stole every scene he was in, and Marui's meeting with Jiroh was very funny. I think I've told you before but I really enjoy how you much detail you put into everything you write and this is no exception. Oh, and I feel hungry after reading this. :|
It's so awesome to see Marui and Jackal get some love. ♥ Truly a very satisfying piece, Allison. WELL DONE!
Oh my god this was fantastic! I loved all of it! The Engrish, the talking posters, JIROH. I literally laughed out loud when he showed up. He's such a cute stalker fuzzball. I would quote my favorite parts, but I would be quoting almost the entire story back at you, so just- amazing job!

Absolutely wonderful. ♥ Nobody writes Marui as well as you do and - as always - I appreciated his interactions with Niou and Jiroh. :D

Olivia can bake cookies with Jackal and Marui in a platonic threesome. Everyone wins that way.
