and the vibe is that he's definitely straight.

The scoop also is that Van and Tyler have been together since
college. Don't know the truth of it, but that's the word
going around.

We often "blame" gossip columnists like Perez for "outing"
people, but occasionally he's doing what the actor can't
legally do himself -- or is afraid to do himself because
of management issues. Tyler has been out all along -- he's
a Broadway performer and I doubt he sees it as an issue.
But for Van making a statement himself would be far trickier.
