It's noble and it's brutal, it distorts and deranges

Only 3 more episodes of Merlin to left after this one, viewers. But before I go and sit under my duvet and make wibbling noises, here are some thoughts on ( The Kindness of Strangers.... )

It's going to be a bit of an anticlimax if Arthur survives the final battle, only to fall victim to a Danish copyright lawyer wielding a heavy weapon...

Your reviews rock. They're the best thing after having watched an episode and landed in a land of Frustration and Why, Writers, Why?
Thanks for the smiles!

(reverie_indigo: the Merlin hairdressers will never leave Colin alone. I should unleash my mother on them. She has letters protesting against Colin's haircut stashed in a drawer somewhere, I'm sure of it. ...Wait, never? Now the series's finished, Colin is now free of their evil scissors!)

I'm curious to know what kind of hairstyle Colin will choose for himself when he's finally free of the cod-medieval scissors of DOOM....

I still can't figure out what the writers want to say with this episode. All this for a little box with a DOOM message that tells Merlin, that the destiny stuff is in vain because Arthur will die anyway? How depressing is that? And why was it so important for Alatorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ( gosh, the RRRRRRRR never ends. ) to deliver it. As if Merlin didn't already know this. Two people ( and a bunch of non-mentioned peasants) died for a Gothic poem.

But tragically he forgets to delete (or just eat) his personal messages, and thus becomes the unfortunate recipient of Ominous Sign of Doom 3I rolled my eyes at this scene because that's exactly the same thing that crossed my mind. HELLO? Even Arthur BURNED the plan last week after letting the others reading it and he is really is not the brightest crayon in the box. And a clever Catha just keeps this message for what? Sentimental reasons? For this stupidity he deserved beeing annoyed to death by Morgana ( ... )

The message did seem rather pointless, given that Finna had described it as something that would help Merlin in the future. Maybe there's a PS written on the back that is actually useful? Or maybe just an ad for a decent hairdresser?

Yes, it totally helps. Maybe it was a warning to refill your tissue box before you watch the last episode.

Love your recaps as always. Had to laugh about Merlin's wound and how quickly it was taken care of. I was watching it with a doctor and she said - oh dear, arrow in the liver. He'll bleed to death pretty soon.... which obviously didn't happen since it's Merlin after all.

WIll likely need alcohol and a lot of chocolate on Christmas eve. I might not watch it until my friends tell me if Arthur dies or not. I'm expecting him to. And Emrys/Merlin to be alone forever.

Alcohol and a lot of chocolate would be my chosen plan for Christmas Eve even if Merlin wasn't on TV!

i was actually rather bothered that percival isn't a virgin. i always thought of him as this big, bashful, virginal brick shithouse of a guy. :(

i also think arthur won't die--because then what happens to the OTHER, HAPPIER prophecies? i am SERIOUSLY worried, though, that they won't get around to giving us a really GOOD reveal, since they've only got... what, THREE episodes left?

wow, there've been a lot of caps in this message...

If you really want Percival to be a virgin, you can imagine that he got "palsy" from a cod-medieval toilet seat! Frankly, I was more surprised that he managed to catch something and hadn't passed it on to any of the other knights...
