It's noble and it's brutal, it distorts and deranges

Only 3 more episodes of Merlin to left after this one, viewers. But before I go and sit under my duvet and make wibbling noises, here are some thoughts on ( The Kindness of Strangers.... )

When he imagined getting a good length of wood in him before the end of the series, this wasn't what he had in mind.

Hehe!

Shame really; she was an admirably hardy old bird and I was ready to set her up on a date with Gaius.

LOLOLOL.

Omg, this whole thing is so wonderful and hilarious and has brought me so much joy.

Again, plot holes overwhelm the story. So neither Merlin or Finna could manage a simple healing spell for Merlin's fairly minor wound? Did they really expect us to believe that Alator would be stupid enough to just leave the note lying in his cell? That Finna is stupid enough to sign it with her name? Alator is a powerful sorcerer. Why didn't he just blast Morgana? Fight a little bit? Wait till she was asleep, then blast her? Commit suicide? Anything? Is there any particular reason why Morgana wouldn't just sent Aithusa to find Finna instead of tromping though a forest with smelly Saxons for days? Or why Merlin has STILL not discussed Aithusa with Kilgarrah? Also, just f#$%ing kill Mordred, already. WTF? All this "Oh, no, Mordred Arthur kill blah blah blah. Just KILL HIM and be done with it. AAAAAGGGHHH NONE OF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE ( ... )

Although I will say your reviews help take the edge off the horror. And for that I thank you. I have to remember next time to wait 24 hours after watching to read it, so that I've regenerated my ability to laugh.

The return of Merlin's bowl haircut IS distressing, I grant you that. Are they trying to make him match the opening title sequence again? If so, it's not worth the aesthetic trauma...

I didn't raise an eyebrow at the healing thing: the idea of people being able to use certain powers on others and not on themselves is actually quite common, isn't it?

I am wondering which will happen first: Morgana finding out Merlin's identity, or Arthur?

I was ready to set her up on a date with Gaius. OTP

I still don't think they'll kill Arthur, so you and I can be in the stocks against facefuls of anachronistic tomatoes together in a couple weeks when Arthur meets his rosy end.

OH MY GOD WHAT IF MORGANA USES THE SKIN OVERGROWTH SPELL ON GWAINE HOW GREAT/TERRIBLE WOULD THAT BE! NOT SO PRETTY NOW!

That would indeed be a terrible fate for Gwaine. However, I am hoping they only introduced it as a nasty method of death so that they could use the same half-a-dozen actors in rubber masks to represent a massive crowd of dead soldiers in the upcoming battle...

Taking Percival's long one, suddenly, from behind? That would have been DEEPLY painful...
