It's noble and it's brutal, it distorts and deranges

Only 3 more episodes of Merlin to left after this one, viewers. But before I go and sit under my duvet and make wibbling noises, here are some thoughts on ( The Kindness of Strangers.... )

I still can't figure out what the writers want to say with this episode. All this for a little box with a DOOM message that tells Merlin, that the destiny stuff is in vain because Arthur will die anyway? How depressing is that? And why was it so important for Alatorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ( gosh, the RRRRRRRR never ends. ) to deliver it. As if Merlin didn't already know this. Two people ( and a bunch of non-mentioned peasants) died for a Gothic poem.

But tragically he forgets to delete (or just eat) his personal messages, and thus becomes the unfortunate recipient of Ominous Sign of Doom 3
I rolled my eyes at this scene because that's exactly the same thing that crossed my mind. HELLO? Even Arthur BURNED the plan last week after letting the others reading it and he is really is not the brightest crayon in the box. And a clever Catha just keeps this message for what? Sentimental reasons? For this stupidity he deserved beeing annoyed to death by Morgana.

I will prepare myself for the last part of the finale with a BIG box of tissues, chocolate and some alcoholic things and I will definitely not watch it on Christmas Eve. Running around with puffy eyes are not that festive.

Thanks for the Eurythmics song! I will put on my Annie Lennox Christmas music today! ;)

The message did seem rather pointless, given that Finna had described it as something that would help Merlin in the future. Maybe there's a PS written on the back that is actually useful? Or maybe just an ad for a decent hairdresser?

Yes, it totally helps. Maybe it was a warning to refill your tissue box before you watch the last episode.
