wow. What a day! A clydesdale show sounds spectacular. I've never been to our state fair (well, it's over a two hour drive away) and I rarely go to one or the other of the two county fairs that are right here next to me. How sad is that...Well, I have to remember to take time off for it, it always seems like the stuff I want to see is during the day. And this summer I'm a little horsed-out. I never thought that could happen to me, but I actually would be fine if I didn't see another horse for a few days... (!) Plus, you're lucky you have a ready-to-hand fair companion whenever you want to go. I don't always feel like going by myself or begging a friend to go. Okay, whine over. ;-) Anyhoo, sorry about the diminished flower experience but glad you had a good time!
