Yesterday we went to Ipswich.  There is a small farmstand store that has lots of low sodium/ no sodium  relishes and pickles.  We also visited the Apple Orchid farm one more time before they closed. Picked up a pie, some pie and some cider.

Thursday Dad had 3 appointments.

One was routine lab work.

Friday I came home very tired.  The commute on the trains was 2 hours long because of the shuttles.  I ended up helping a person up the stairs ...700 people crushing to get up the single stair case to the shuttles and the escalator and elevator were deliberately shut off.  The person had a walker so I carried it up the stairs and acted as a blocker ( Read more... )

The week has been meh.

I was supposed to work from at home Thursday morning and then go to my friend's mother's funeral. The stupid remote software did not work. The boss had my work computer updated and so the laptop needed an update, but it did not work. So at 5:00 AM I ran the 1.5 miles to the T so I could catch the shuttle bus. I'd like to say fuck it and leave...but I have no money at this point.

The president elect could die at this very moment, but that won't eliminate the hate.  The soil is saturated with it.  The hate just doesn't wash out. I feel stained by it.

Dad gained 2 pounds overnight.  Sign.  Saturday is his birthday.  Because  medical people said he had no fluid I said he could have a small amount of Chinese food.... =(    If he isn't concerned enough to say "let's not" then it's on him.   WTF Dude.  I have been calling him Dude since the doctor did on Wednesday.

Today is the first work from home day.   I was anxious that things wouldn't work so I started at 4:15 AM... old habits die hard.  Once I trust that the system will work I won't start before 6 AM when I am remote. 6 AM to 2:30 were my old hours at Bothe the insurance company and the old bank.  I like that

Yesterday's craft show was from 10 AM to 2 PM and went well enough.  I made $100.00 and then spent it on groceries.  I was glad to spend the time with my friend and let her talk about her Mom.  Hopefully the Mom won't suffer too long.
