Can you ask her next time to break it off for you? Not to be a coward, but to put her in the awkward uncomfortable position for a change? If you're really nice about it, like, "I know he's your friend, so it won't be so bad coming from you, but could you tell him that I'm not interested? I can't face it and I feel bad when I'm just hiding from him and ignoring his calls..."

I'd be a bit more of a bitch and "Could you tell him you made a mistake, that you'd forgotten I'd asked you before to stop setting me up?" but then there's good reasons why none of my friends set me up.

You could even ask her outright why she keeps setting you up "with such old men?" and see if that makes her uncomfortable enough to stop.

Because, seriously, she's giving out your details to men who don't take no for an answer, even if they eventually back off politely, it's still fucking dangerous.

I'd seriously get in her face about this. Yes, she's trying to do a good thing for you but the way she's going about it is hurting you. I really think you should make that clear to her. >:(

That said, happy birthday, sweetie! *all the hugs!*

First things first - happy birthday to you! Woot!!

As for guys, I totally understand where you're coming from. Have you tried telling your sister that you need some me time for the indefinite future and feel uncomfortable when she tries to set you off. I know people who are happy in their relationships always seem to think that being alone is the worst thing ever, but its really not.
