- What kind of light is that? (Or: you have inadequate lighting for your turtles!!!!!!!!)
That's the ZooMed PowerSun full spectrum UVA/UVB and heat lamp. Believe me, it's adequate. This is one of those mercury vapor bulbs, and it is awesome.
- There's nothing in your tank, don't your turtles get bored?
No, they don't. They are very powerful swimmers and enjoy doing that. They chase after the goldfish and pleco. And I buy them crustaceans once a week, that they get to chase around the tank.
- How big is your tank? What are the specs?
It's a 240 gallon tank. It's 60x30x30". I had a custom shelf put in that's 5" deep that I plan to fill with some kind of substrate (ie moss or something non-toxic. Suggestions appreciated.).
