Glad that you both survived the tornado and had fun on both of your trips. I have been looking for something to watch maybe I should check Life on Mars. Do you recommend the British or the American version. I hope you have a great summer as well. *hugs*

Life on Mars is flippin' amazing-- the British version, that is. I've not actually seen the US interpretation, but rumor suggests that it isn't anywhere near as good.

I definitely recommend that you check it out; it's only two seasons with a total of 16 episodes, so it wouldn't take all that long to watch! :)

Tornadoes aren't something very common here in New York, so that was definitely scary! Neither myself nor The Otter really knew what was going on until it was over, but we came out lucky. My neighbor had five trees on top of his house! 0_o

I suppose in reality summer hasn't even really started yet, but hopefully it will be great!

I think it best if we leave the severe drunkenness between us. Thankfully my laptop is back and operational now, but wow, a whole week and a half without it. I swear I suffered a real panic attack about it the night before I left for home. Ugh!

But yes, it was a wonderful visit, tornado, computer issues, and severe drunkenness aside.

About time you got your stuff on AO3! :p Need more B/G fic though. Write MOAR! :p

Well it's as you said-- writing begets writing, so hopefully I can sustain the inspiration I apparently seem to have lately and usher it down some other avenues as well. And hey, with that re-watch we've got planned you never know! ;)

At least we were smart enough to get the overindulgence in alcohol out of the way on the first night-- and you've got to admit, we were having FUN for awhile! <3

You've finished something? I will check it out this weekend. I have been waiting for the completion of your State of Play fic (and let's not mention Wishverse!Vamp!Ethan eh?).

Glad you're safe and well. London 2014?

I sure have! I'm slowly but surely reforming myself to an only-post-if-it's-finished lifestyle, with a side order of 'write the short thing.' As someone who is acquainted with my extreme liking for instant gratification AND excess, you'll understand that this is a bit challenging for me! :P

The two fics that you mentioned are in fact the main items I will be targeting, along with one other LoM fic that has about half a chapter left to be written.

As for 2014, yes that is on the cards! Otter kept poking me to join you guys in France, but unfortunately I have failed to win the lottery anytime in the past thirty-one years and thus it cannot be. Still; we'll meet again sooner rather than later, I hope! <3

I have read 5 shirts and it makes me slightly unhappy that a) I haven't got a LOM icon and b) that you aren't as committed to Giles fic anymore. You are an excellent writer and that shines through even when I'm reading a fandom I know little about.

It's just airfare and booze money for France. The cottage is paid for...there's still time.

Mmm, if only the airfare weren't so annoyingly expensive! :P

We've also got a nearby (well, Long Island anyway) new store opening right around that time at work, and so we'll probably be sending some staff to help with that. Alas, it will not be possible. :'(

Oooooh, thanks for reading 'Five Shirts'! That one sort of came out of nowhere-- I think I wrote it in a week, but I was very pleased with how it came out in the end. *blushes and stammers*

As for Giles fic, I think all I really need is a good re-watch for a bit of inspiration. The impulse hasn't gone, I just need the material! Otter and I are scheduled to start one after she returns from France...
