So it's one week to go before the start of Summer of Giles and I've had to pull my own dates from the calendar. My mother took a fall last week and is in the hospital. RL has been tricky the past few months. The company is dying, smart colleagues have left and not been replaced, I feel too insecure to find another job and have ending up shouldering all their workload. Damn, I need more self-respect ( Read more... ) -

Grr and not even argh
LJ on my iPad has switched itself to Entries Feed setting and I hate it. I hate it passionately. I want my old layout back, this is just sterile. I can't find anything, read anything or take any pleasure anymore. This is really pissing me off and I can't find a means of switching it back. -
Made it!
Thank you to everyone who wished me well. I'm happy to report I survived the redundancy cull (or at least this time). It's scary to see how easily this process can be rigged to get rid of people who don't fit. I guess I live fight another day. -
Wish me monsters
So the last three weeks have been unbelievably shit as I've fought off being made redundant. I think I'm safe but I find out officially tomorrow. It's all been very traumatic.
