Feeling down and lonely
I haven't written here in a long time. I guess I just need to get some things out. Mike and I broke up last month, and I've been at loose ends ever since. Connecticut massacre and mental health
Let me start by saying that I am definitely for stricter gun control - across the board. What worries me, though, is that a HUGE emphasis is being placed on mental health issues and guns. While I agree that thorough background checks are extremely important, there doesn't seem to be a differentiation between TREATED and UNTREATED mental illness. ( Read more... ) -
Einstein
I lost a very dear friend tonight. Einstein was 16 years old. About an hour ago, his back legs collapsed. We brought him to the emergency clinic, but he died in my arms on the way there. The vets said it was a stroke. He will be missed.

2011 - I'm 41 years old for most of the year. My birthday's in October. I'm almost divorced and living in a house in Greenbelt, sometimes with a 6-year-old - sometimes without.
