Zara got better! The Panacur wormer/anti-protozoan fixed her up. My IRL crush on the vet increases another notch. (I typically maintain one IRL crush and one on-TV crush in my life, though nowadays the latter would more accurately be called a multi-media platform crush, but that doesn't have the same ring). Yesterday S2 and I took Zara to the vet (after which I bought S2 flowers. She has a car, I don't, and even though our vet is only two streets away, carrying a cat two streets in a carrier is not fun. I've done it). She checked out well - no fever, abdomen felt normal, no weight loss, so he gave us a wormer/anti-protozoan and a probiotic on the ( Read more... )

Bibi's test results came back - neg for the serious stuff, confirming that she is one of the rare cats who has beaten panleuk. Showed giardia though so I got a packet of granules to kill that for sprinkling on food. Zara is to have the same as a precautionary measure. The instructions on the packet say 'a quarter of a packet daily for both cats' ( Read more... )

[spoilerific ep review]So for me Torn and Frayed was not Spn's finest hour. It got better as it went on - the actual rescue was cool, and though I was disappointed that Samandriel got killed it was a nice twist that I didn't see coming.
