Co-worker safe

We just got news from one of our managers that one of our field engineers was rescued from his roof on Thursday.

I am very very happy - I'd been very worried about him.

I totally agree. All throughout this disater that has been my one complaint. Yes, NOLA had many many underprivleged and poor who could not get out, nut there were thousands who made that conscious choice to stay. I just don't understand that and have very little sympathy for those people. I live in Houston and if they even suggest evacuation, me and mine(pets included) are out of here. You just don't mess with Mother Nature.

And every year they hype at least 3 storms as the Storm of the Century, and people trek 14 hours out of town and back and find out that nothing was damaged at all.

It is inevitable that a fair number of people decide to ride out what they assumed would be another false alarm.
