You have your support, you know the logical but the hard part is bridging the known and felt. Fear is hard to overcome, your right, knowledge is your key and you are on the right track.

I know I am just repeating but..well that is kind of what it takes. You will do well, it will be better.

Your screenplay is a bit predictable. ;)

My laminectomy fixed everything except numbness in my lower legs. My situation was a bit more severe in that a ruptured disk dug into my spinal cord. The excruciating pain I had while standing was gone the day of the surgery. The recovery took a few weeks. Were it not for other neurological problems on the side, life would be grand. My back has not felt this good in over 30 years. My lower legs... well, that's another story, and not the usual outcome of the surgery. Don't fear the surgery, you'll sleep through it all. The worst of the recovery is done in a few days.

You have a good partner that will help you out, that's the best part of it all.

Any questions? Just ask away.

Thank you and apparently predictable screenplays are all the rage.... ;)

As you know, you are one of the few I will ask questions of if I need to and that is MUCH appreciated. During this, I've thought a lot about what you have written of your journey and It's amazing how helpful that has been.

Hugs.

a good partner makes all the difference...i was there when Matt got his new knee and pushed him when it hurt to, but for the best. i know there may be parts of your rehab where he may have to push you when it hurts...but i know that you know that he's doing it for your own good...
...and he knows that you'll probably smack him a couple of times like Matt did me...but know that's for the best too.
*hugz and well wishes*
