# 34 can go without expalanation, in #41 we have:
Whenever the truly wise hear of Tao they strive earnestly to use it. Whenever the mediocre hear of Tao thay are aware, yet unaware of it. Whenever the stupid hear of Tao, they laugh aloud at it. If it were not laughed at it would not be Tao.

The Tao - sutras 25, 4, 14, 32
Following MacHovec's ordering of the sutras. The first 3 sutras are pretty self explanatory. In #14 a paragraph goes:
Looked for it cannot be seen, it is invisible;
listened for it cannot be heard, it is inaudible;
Reached for it cannot be touched, it is intangible.
These three are beyond analysis;
These three are one

Gosh it was a beautiful clear night, and now an equally beautiful day. For a while now I've been wanting to posts my thoughts on a line from Shakespear, "And this above all else, to thine own self be true," and how it relates to the Slain God/Grail Myths. Little slip, a commentator for local ch5 staion here in Ma reporting from the Democratic convention at Bronco's stadium refered to Bronco fans as "Barako" fans. Least that's the way I heard it.
I like it, BarakO's Boys, and BarakO's Babes. Hope it catches on. -

Monday I finally got to meet up with my long-time lj friend seraphimsigrist at the hermitage of his friend Victor, who is the sole occupant of this little monestary nestled in the woods. Picked up a really nice Syra, '99 vintage, 3 half-bottles for $7ea. And an absolutely magnificent Shiraz for $12ea! The. Formula, 2004. If you can find it, grab it, I've got 8 bottles with the promise of more. The late harvest Rosenblaum Voigner was way beyond expectations also, thick, spicy and refined like the better desert wines of the ( Read more... ) -
