I just read, for the first time, some of Pablo Naruda's love poems. My neck and scalp tingled, and I felt a sort of astonished ripple of emotional fullness. It was amazing. Wow.

Oh, and just as an aside, I've only a month of school left. Then six weeks of preceptorship. then I'm done. wow. Neat, huh?

It's on its way. I can't wait. It just started to be cold here in good ol' California. But what I;m really here to talk about is the couture of the holiday. Holy day. Whichever. Goodbye, Grandma. I love you.

My immediate family and I spent most of last week in Las Vegas. My mother's mother stopped breathing last Tuesday morning. She was intubated and put on a vent. We arrived Tuesday afternoon, and the decision as made to remove her from the vent. She expired yesterday. Merry Christmas
