Lurking about in various communities, I've happened upon the phrase PnP quite frequently. And, being, the sheltered boy that I am, had to stop and wonder... 'Why would this guy tell the world he's into PnP right after his dick size? I mean, with USB and all, *everything's* PnP, now, right?'

Plug and Play, I was thinking. You know, that whimsical, utopian bastion of late(ish) model hardware that's only requirement is that you install it? No freaky Windows recognition tricks in command line, no rebuilding of databases, etc. Um, duh. Upon further research, I discovered that PNP is also an acronym for Philipine National Police.

I had to delve a bit deeper to discover it meant 'party and play.' Persons who like to do drugs and engage in rampant bouts of hot, sweaty monkey rutting while under the influence of said substances. Which does sound fun under certain sets of circumstances, I'll admit. *If* I have the listing of substances right in my mind. I'm not sure, really. Anyway, I think if you're going to put PNP in something, dammit, have a legend! So I don't feel sorry for all the ISA cards in my garage.

And now, feeling guilty for my demands, is *my* legend:
USB - Universal serial bus
ISA - Industry Standard Architecture

I think that's all of them.
