J. K. Rowling has made The Mirror UK's Top Ten Wardrobe Malfunctions. In fact, JKR has had two, um, problems with her decolletage in the past year. But who's counting? Maybe she should take Sharon Osborne's advice from VH1's trashy reality show Rock of Love Charm School ~ "You can be sexy all covered up."

Thanks for brightening my morning! The link was funny and as a someone totally lacking in grace, I felt pretty good. Like you, I don't see the Beedle book selling like the other HP books. I'm checking out the library version before I decide whether to buy it.

Since Obabma got elected, I've hard fewer economic woes stories. However, the fact that the press isn't reporting doesn't change reality. People are worried. Last year, I told the kids I was focusing less on the shopping time and more on family time. We did tons of things together - made cookies, went to a movie, drove around looking at lights. They got less because I didn't have time to shop. We'll be doing that again this year.

re: H: AH "Heddle is confident that the book will appeal to a wide cross-section of readers - 'just like the Harry Potter books themselves.'" I wonder if that cross-section includes people who disagree with Melissa and/or JKR/WB? But then, we're probably not worthy of the book anyhow.

wow that first spillage was....was that shirt too big!

Yeah I don't know that Beadle will sell like the novels. As I recall the companion books sold a lot fewer copies. Also I think the reason people bought multiple copies is because the novels were large. I would buy multiple copies of FB and QA.

Regardless of economic situations, I know a lot of my friends that are casual fans probably won't buy Beedle the Bard. I doubt my mother will, either. Also, I think she did herself a great disservice making the collector's edition price so different than the normal book. I would've considered a $30-40 edition, but not $100!
My local HP group is very excited about HAH, and so I may just borrow someone's copy to give it a look-see.
