That's pretty much how I feel about McCain too. I like him because he is honest and he votes how he wants not how his party expects him too. I like his foreign policy expertise but I don't like the idea of being in Iraq a 100 years. O_o.

Through all that though I still deeply admire and respect him out of the republicans.

With the democrats I think Obama is very charasmatic and symbolizes change. Honestly with Hillary I am just not sure. I think people want someone other then a Bush or Clinton in the white house.

I am a registered independent. When November comes I am not sure who I will vote for. I tend to be more liberal though.

No telling what will happen by November. I think Hillary and Obama are going to split the vote in alot of states today, but McCain may actually pull way ahead of Romney. I'm a little concerned about Romney in California, but we'll see what happens.

Yeah I think McCain is probably going to win the majority of the states. I watched a little of the Republican debate and I thought he easily out debated Romney.

And then of course the democratic debate a couple weeks ago where Hillary and Obama really went at it. I saw clips of it the following day and I was on the edge of my seat. :D

Ah, Super Tuesday, and Missouri gets to play!!! :D I've lived in this state for the last two presidential election cycles, and by the time I got to vote both times, my candidates had withdrawn from the race and it was pretty clear what would happen overall. Very annoying. This year I got to vote while the race is still wide open!

I may have to watch the news tonight.

That's never happened to me, but I saw on the news that alot of people in New Jersey voted early, and their candidates aren't even on the ballot anymore, so they are letting them "re-vote."

Alot of states have pushed early voting to get the numbers up; I know that's the case in Tennessee although I've never voted early. But this year is a cautionary tale about how it can backfire when campaigns change.

Hillary is really going to benefit the most, I think, especially in California. I'm not sure if New York had early voting, but she would benefit there as well, being the early favorite in the state where she lives.

This'll actually be my first vote. :D....and I don't get half the propsitions we're supposed to vote for. BAH.

I agree that McCain should be happy that Anne Coulter is for Hillary. That woman...well, let's just say that one of my friends decided that she was a great subject for a scary Halloween costume. XD

McCain does sound like the best of the Reps, but I'm still either going with Obama or Hillary. Obama more likely, after the Anne Coulter news.

Mit Romney...I'm just not paying much attention to him, save laughing at his stupid "Who let the dogs out?" blunder.

I'm ok with DH being two movies. If it were one movie, guess who they'd cut? Obviously not the snogging and endless battle scenes. No, they'd cut Xenophilius, Albus' backstory, Neville-the-hero and that greasy guy no one likes.

Interesting to know that JKR did consciously use WWII as inspiration. :D

Congrats on being able to vote this time!!! Not trying to influence you with my icon or anything!

*evil campaigner*

My daughter is 20 and this is her first Presidential campaign. She has been torn between Hillary and Obama, and I've been told to stay out of her business, haha. She has been toying with the idea of voting for McCain because she is afraid of Huckabee and Romney, but I think it's more fun to go into our very conservative precinct and say quite loudly "A Democrat Ballot, Please!" Then everyone in the place will turn around and stare at the freaks, lol. (Yes, I cause trouble, even in the real world.) '

But actually, I think more people where I live will vote Democrat this time - but then, I tell myself that every time. Wishful thinking.

Freggy: Good point about them cutting out all the good scenes in DH! Yes, it would just be giants stomping around and Death Eaters turning to sand again, and no Tale of the Prince.
