Wouldn't it be great if every line of the HP series was illustrated and the text pared down in some minimalist form so that we didn't have to argue over silly things like meanings and definitions?
I mean, Dude, seriously, I understand that as an essay writer, I'm part of the problem. I know I get wordy when talking about words, and I have this

I love it, hopefully even a caveman can understand it now. Some people just cannot grasp concepts can they? Pictures are almost always helpful.

The Gryffindor stripes on James' tie are a great touch. :-)

Thanks! My artwork isn't too elegant, but I wanted no one to say that he was a Hufflepuff instead.
That reminds me: I've been thinking about the quote I showed Bscorp today from "Fallen Hero" in DH when Harry says Lupin reminded him of Hufflepuff Zacharias Smith. That is still cracking me up hours later. That's my new favorite quote from DH, LOL.

James was going to get Lily by hook or crook. If it meant torturing Severus until he did something really nasty to James or Sirius, then that would be what he would do.
But, James got lucky. Lily stepped in at just the perfect moment to catch Severus in a totally exasperated moment and he called her the Unforgivable Name. Even though he tried to apologize to his BFF, she was tired of apologizing "for" him to others (If you have a BFF, why would you have to apologize "for" them? You just tell the person criticizing them to sod off.) and he was hanging around with all the wrong people (too bad he couldn't have been a Marauder, then he'd have been cool, too, like James and Sirius and their two needy buddies).
So, Lily had a hissy-fit and canned her BFF. James must have been ecstatic. Snivillus was out of the way and he now had a clear shot at the Snitch...I mean Lily. He could win, as he was so used to doing. Hurray for James, the cool guy.

You know, James is sort of a stick-figure in the books as well. So he lends himself to this sort of exercise.
