I saw a post the other day that pointed out something I hadn't noticed before about the Potter's deaths in Godric's Hollow. When James dies, he is compared to a "marionette."  Is this some type of literary reference? Pinocchio? The Puppet Masters by Robert Heinlein? The movie "Lili"?

I like to check Google from time to time to see the most popular terms used to search for various characters. It's a little snapshot of that particular day and quite amusing. Anyone can do this themselves, too. Just type in "So and So Is" and see what appears in the drop-down box ( Read more... )

I've been having a conversation (well, okay, an argument) with someone who insists that if Snape had been more charming and willing to lie when he was a boy ~ more like James, perhaps - he might have become more sociable and had a better time, and this might also have "cured" his introverted personality.
