BRB BOOKING A FLIGHT TO LA TO RAID ALL YR VINTAGE STORES.
My main spots here in Halifax are Value Village (which is huuuuuuge and has all kinds of random stuff like typewriters and teacups) and Guy's Frenchies, which is a chain (there's a store up the block from me). I got a skirt and denim short shorts there the other day... And today I got a new teacup + The Plague by Camus & To the Lighthouse by Woolf (the books were 99 cents each) today at V.V.
basically: thrift store loooooove.
There are some other vintage stores in the city's downtown but they're more expensive and they piss me off >:|
I realllly love your Harley D. jacket.
Also, a good place to find combat boots is Army Navy outlets. I don't know if there would be one around you. You can get a bunch of military garb really cheap. I got my combats for $20. But the city is a giganto navy port + has a military base so that's where all the surplus comes from.
Do you all have any thoughts about vintage clothes/thrift stores/whatevs?
DO I?!?!!?!
re: leather + floral, I've been wearing a leather jacket with a red and white polka dot dress once in a while over the past ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh several months-ish idk. Biker Minnie.
Seattle has amazing vintage shops and there's a vintage fashion show (1920s-1940s) every autumn in conjunction with ~Killer Diller weekend (Lindy Hop extravaganza). I SO WANT TO BE IN IT. I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO DONATE.
Q: What are some of your favorite vintage stores in LA that are on the cheaper side? I need to do more vintage store shopping myself because I'd love to own one-of-a-kind pieces.
