My 'take away' on last night's show was that even if the psychic was not a charlatan, his advice was so nebulous as to be useless in preventing further crimes. Charlie Epps, on the other hand, was able to develop a predictive model which provided a solution that prevented more women from being killed.

Yeah, the psychic didn't look as useful as Charlie -- but he did get that FBI endorsement! And NO ONE was sympathetic to Charlie. Ugggggh!

Speaking of science-based shows, have you caught "Bones"? I think the character byplay is better. Plus they've already had one show with an unspoken bi/poly subplot.

Fox on Wednesdays; this week it'll be on at 8pm pacific (they've been moving it around, but have renewed it, I think). Stars Emily Deschanel as a forensic anthropologist and David Boreanaz as her FBI agent contact. The supporting characters are as enjoyably quirky as the Crossing Jordan cast IMO but with more of a geek/nerd flavor to them.

OK, thanx for the recommendation. I like Crossing Jordan usually -- I started watching it for (duh!) Jill Hennessy (yum!), but kept watching for the quirky characters and interesting interplay between them. Even If I wanna smack a few of them someitimes for bizarrely stupid behavor. So, I'll give Bones a try -- it's in my TiVo now. :)
