Feelin' like a meme...

I was roving around LJ last night and found this meme, and thought it'd be fun to take a stab at it again.

Give me a title for a story, and I'll give you a general overview of it: summary, characters, approx word count, etc

Bring it on! I have a lot of math and backstory to do this evening, and I could use the crack. :)

Macross Frontier
A Michel-centric, internal narrative sort of 'fic, possibly spanning pre-series into the series, and undoubtedly long-ish. With warnings plastered aaaall over it. (Either that, or it'd make the perfect flopsy. Can't quite tell yet.)

His sister lost her love, her career, and eventually her life, to the fickle skip of a heart. Michel takes it as an object lesson to live and work in the moment, never to rely on the continuity of hearts beating in time, always sure that true synch is only possible for a moment's time. Except when he figures out that his heart has always been beating in time to another's--it was just too soft to hear...

I'd write you a snippet, but it would be spoilery as all hell. :)

This title would also work well for a Planetes 'fic. Perhaps a really smutty, Ai/Hachi Planetes 'fic, at that. But I'm still mulling that one over...

Trickyverse, headers + vignettes style, will be meant to be 4, 5k and will end up much closer (or over) 10k.

Leon doesn’t stay in one place very long, doesn’t have time for mementos. He carries his memories folded in tiny mental origami, tucked away in those emotional shadows, the shape and color of each treasure a clue to the memory inside.

Aww, thanks! They were fun to bend my mind around and come up with. The amusing thing about this meme (to me) is that I'm a terrible titler, so in a way, NONE of these fit because I would never be this good! But I'm glad it worked.

("The Amphibious Nature of Things" does call to me, I must admit. 'Cause I'm kinda a waterbaby, and Torch!Amy is just fascinating enough to make it work.)

Torchverse, the Orgy Quartet, but mostly gen; short, choppy structure, a little vignetteish, and with overtones of interview/epistolary style (that is, first person POV, but as if talking to someone, or in a group with each other)

Do you know how hard it is to buy Kunzite a “Happy Another Year of Life” present? Zoi, Amy, and Svetka relate some of their attempts at this over the years, from their time just settling in with each other to their common “put the blonde in lingerie” plan.
