Feelin' like a meme...

I was roving around LJ last night and found this meme, and thought it'd be fun to take a stab at it again.

Give me a title for a story, and I'll give you a general overview of it: summary, characters, approx word count, etc

Bring it on! I have a lot of math and backstory to do this evening, and I could use the crack. :)

...good Deity of Preference,I got wordy.

You are so surprised, I can see. :)

Here's the rest, then. I am stopping before I try to come up with a plot. I used Black already, it is good where it is! :D

"Black Beauty Blues"
Torchverse - Rei centric character piece - maybe 2k in length, maybe a little more - could be incorporated into the universe as a whole, or work as a side stand alone

She stands with them, all of them, and she is unabashed about it. Yet, sometimes in the circle of space she creates, she wonders at the long, strange path that's brought her to where she does and certainly doesn't belong.

OR

Same character, just a little time-shifted...

In her designer clothes, sipping high quality tea in the most high class way, Rei looks like a form of perfection clothed in shining, black hair. But though her eyes are still, the mind behind them hums, thinking about the past, thinking of the future, and wondering if it is time to move on to what else is to come.

Bluesverse
'Cause I had to take a stab at it and all ;)
Set after a great deal of Conspiracy Plot goes down, in a period of recovery - one-shotish in nature, though it could end up being broken into multiple parts due to its drastic length

The hardest part about an injured workhorse is keeping them from going back to work too early--as Jill well knows. But with both her and her partner of laid up and separated (again), the urge to get up and go is hard to fight. To combat it, she starts a little book to pass to him, and soon finds getting more of a story than she ever expected.

Bluesverse
A short, sweet, somewhat silly tale of some necessary bonding. Well. Possibly not "short."

Jill and Claire go hiking together post much Conspiracy Arc, and end up talking a lot about stories they remember from their childhood--and how sad a lot of them turned out to be in retrospect. Meanwhile, their respective partners engage in a spot of beer drinking and basketball playing--only for one to surprise the other with an odd request.
