Hockey players are not like other athletes.

Chicago defenceman Duncan Keith was hit in the mouth with a puck early during today's game (which led to a goal, to add insult to injury), and lost seven teeth. He returned to the game after several minutes.

SEVEN TEETH!

They're crazy, man...

Yeah. In the first sound series with Montreal, Eric Belanger got hit in the face with a stick and broke four of his teeth. So he went to the bench and pulled them out all the way and got back in the game.

Yeah, I saw that. He just pulled 'em out of his mouth and handed them to the trainer like, "Oh, here ya go!" and then went back out. I read somewhere that between periods they had to trim exposed roots so that he could go back out and play. Gah!
