Whew. Whatta day! Did the intro to blood bank, did some typing, then pulled 2.5 hours in the outpatient lab drawing blood. I only need 37 more sticks and I will have made the full 200 draw requirement. I may do a multiphasic this week, too, just to finish that up ( Read more... )

I am now an official vampire! I did my first stick (phlebotomy) on a real human today. Poor Scott. I did get him on the first try, though. :-) I also took two tubes of blood, not just one. (Red and lavendar so we can use them in the blood bank and hematology classes.)
