Late at night, cooked shepherd's pie.
Forgot pie on stovetop all night.
Now eating pie.
Soon, death?

think of it as extra added vitamins!

Oh, that must be it! I normally up the vitamins by not washing the potatoes very well but this time they were a bit old so I even peeled them. So to compensate for the loss of micronutrients there I ... grew some during the night?

I am sure this cup of tea will thwart any would-be evildoers in my belly.

I will sample that pie for you and make sure it is okay!

A food taster! Exactly what I have been looking for. Just be aware that it's got chick peas in because apparently I scoff at the concept of food traditions.

Well, yeah. You're pretty far away, so any projectile vomiting is unlikely to affect you ;)

If I find out that colinmac snuck a bunch of eels into this pie when I was not looking, I will be very upset.

If you haven't developed any gastro intestinal difficulties by this evening, you're probably OK. The pie's crust does act as a lid of sorts for the meaty goodness inside. And it's not fish or fowl, so it's probably got a bit more hang time. Best to either a. eat all of it now, b. heat it thoroughly, or c. all of the above.

I think it would be physically impossible for me to eat all of the pie in less than two days, uncomfortable to eat it in less than three, and unlikely that it will be gone in less than five. Will work on thorough re-heating and hope for the best. So far, so good!
