I've never read an early-season Spike/Buffy story (in the sense of them actually being in a relationship) that I find completely convincing. That doesn't mean I don't think it can be done, but I've never found a story where the writer's done it to my satisfaction. Which would entail no spells, curses, time travel, etc.; just pure raw character

S3 Spuffy is WRONG but it's ok to write/read a threesome S/A/B with Spike in the middle? Hypocrites!

I may be wrong but didn't the threesome were started due to Angel's clause of happiness!

I have noticed over the years that people who are perfectly OK with souled!Angel/soulless!Spike, or soulless!Spike/Xander, or soulless!Spike/Willow, or Buffy/Angelus, or whatver, somehow develop Deep Moral Objections when it's soulless!Spike/Buffy.
