We have seen the same conflict rehashed a million times. Ky and Sol. Millia and Venom and Zato. Testament and Johnny and Dizzy and I-no. They would have to seriously advance things forward to make it anything else than a rehash, and I don't think they have the slightest clue how to do that. Otherwise they would have done so already.

Seriously though, after the way they've mismanaged their own characters and story I can't believe for a moment that they know what they're doing any more, or really knew what they had at the start. Maybe in another ten years they'll have it figured out? Can't say I'd be looking forward to it (and anything else they put out in the meantime).
They tried to advance things and gave us Overture. Aside from sweeping it under the rug and denying its existence I'm not sure how they can recover. Anything "new" will probably fall into weird spin-offs (like that Chimaki towel whipping game) or more dramu about resurrecting Freddie's dead girlfriend clone and That Man's increasing envy over never having had a threesome with them. Oh and as a bonus Ky gets a new dress. It'll be an exclusive download.
