http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-16-the-arc-of-fighting-interview Eurogamer: What ever happened to Guilty Gear? Why did you stop making it?
Daisuke Ishiwatari: Guilty Gear got too hardcore for some people, so we wanted to reset the level of entrance. BlazBlue was the answer to it. Also, the generation of Guilty Gear players has become a certain age - maybe a little bit too old for playing games. So making that reset brings in a new generation of fighting game players. Then they will be with us for the next few years.

http://www.siliconera.com/2011/05/06/all-about-guilty-gear-with-creator-daisuke-ishiwatari/ I have to ask for all the Guilty Gear fans. What’s the future of the series? Will we ever see another game? Learn more about "That man"? Or even a Guilty Gear HD title?
We recently went to Europe for the World Game Cup (Gaming Tournament held in Cannes, France) and Arc System Clash (An Arc System Works event and tournament held in London back in March) and we spoke to many of our fans, and this question was asked many times - it’s great to see that the passion for Guilty Gear is still strong! Let’s just say that you won’t be disappointed! When that new Guilty Gear will come? I honestly don’t know - not because I can’t tell you, but because I really don’t know - but it will happen eventually!

So... first we're too old for games and now you're going to bait us when you haven't even made up your fucking mind? Yeah no. There is really no way you can make the series "better" after the failure that was Overture. Oh wait, yes there is. You can leave the damn thing alone. Seriously, you killed it and any potential it had.
