I have a question.

During those two days when the phones wouldn't stop ringing, and got we got calls from people outside of Mayfield, did any of you… talk to someone who's dead?

Yeah. Someone that I knew… I saw him die a few months before I came here, but he was one of the people who I talked to on the phone.

Well, of the top of my head, I can think of a number of ways that might be possible.

As in speaking directly from the grave, or somehow miraculously revived?

I don't think I've seen the former happen, but one of the last people to live here happened to be the latter.

He may be from the past, the town's capable of bring people from different times as well as worlds.

Judging how he talked and what he said, I don't think he could have been from the past.

I guess that's pretty much the same thing. Except, obviously the person you talked to has been gone a lot longer.

Did they sound real to you? I thought about it, and it could just be this place messing with us.

They're still alive. They're here, actually. It was just a younger version of them.

I... know it was them. I don't know how, but it was.

Ever since my arrival, I have become heartsick. The nightmares I once had are filled with other thoughts that I cannot stop.
