Poor Tucker cat

I just returned from the pet emergency place where I left my cat Tucker who is now having surgery on his cheek.  Evidently he was in a cat fight or something because there are two puncture wounds there and an abscess.  I'm not sure when it happened.  I noticed a couple of days ago he was acting funny... he wasn't hanging around me as much as usual ( Read more... )

I hope he's doing well today, Radbooks. Cat bites are pretty likely to get infected, I believe, and it sounds like that's what happened. But now the vet can treat it.

At least he's home now and not in some scary place! Now I get to give him antibiotics for awhile, which is always fun. :)

Aww, poor kitty! Pip had something very similar and the vet was able to clean it out and after a week of antibiotics, it's since healed up very nicely and the fur is starting to grow back. I'm sure Tucker will be fine, too. It's always scary, though, when that sort of thing happens.

He's a very handsome kitty!

Thank you, he is a cute cat and very friendly. He's back home now. The hard part now is trying to give him the antibiotics and keeping him inside! He looks so bad with these drainage tubes in his cheeks...
