Poor Tucker cat
I just returned from the pet emergency place where I left my cat Tucker who is now having surgery on his cheek. Evidently he was in a cat fight or something because there are two puncture wounds there and an abscess. I'm not sure when it happened. I noticed a couple of days ago he was acting funny... he wasn't hanging around me as much as usual. He usually is sitting here at my feet and he was off in the living room sort of tucked away. Then yesterday he was really cleaning his cheek and that area was getting matted. I looked at it, but didn't notice anything. When I got home tonight he had rubbed all of the hair off of that area and 'gunk' (the technical term!) was oozing from the wound.
I sort of freaked out because it looked so bad. I'd gotten home late and so I had to take him to the emergency place so this isn't going to be cheap, but you do what you have to do when you have pets! :)
