My right arm is one long frayed nerve at the moment, thanks to a pinched nerve or comparable condition, and typing or using a mouse left-handed has proven to be more frustration than it's worth. No idea how long this may take to heal, it may ultimately require surgery (which I can't afford, as most of you likely are aware).

I have another question for diabetes sufferers or those who know them: are vision problems routine when acclimating to one's meds? Part of the reason I'm not online as much is that blurred vision is making it difficult to read and increases my eyestrain when I sit down to catch up on news, email, blogs, etc.

I have two questions for any friends who may be diabetic themselves or know someone else who is: what brand of glucometer would you recommend, and do you know of any sources for low-cost (or even better, free) ones and the other necessary supplies?
