Jayelynn started wheezing last night just before bed. It continued through the night, and this morning it was pretty bad. I called Jeff and asked him to come home from work, I made her an appointment as soon as the doctor's office opened. He brought her in for me. I had the bed bugs once... I just washed all my sheets in hot hot water, and vacuumed the mattress and the room, and that was the end of them. I hope something quick like that will work for you guys, I know buying a new mattress is VERY pricey. Ours is 20 years old and is passed down from my parents. hehe... we don't want to spend the money on a new one!

Did the doc give Jayelynn anything for her allergic reaction/wheezing? I hope she's okay today!

Make sure you have Children's Benedryl (or a generic) with you at all times. Know the dose that is appropriate for her age/weight. But more importantly, familiarize yourself (if you aren't already) with the signs of serious allergic reactions. Each time a child is exposed to an allergen can worsen the reaction. It's seriously the most frightening thing in the world to have a child with a severe allergy - and I hope that isn't the case - but it's best to be prepared than not. If she is allergic to almonds you will probably be prescribed an epipen. Either way, having benedryl on you is always a good idea!
