I really enjoyed this fic, the H/c, Peter's reactions and, of course, the total randomness of Neal's injury. Scissors are very dangerous, obviously. I'm very happy that Winterstar avoided this scenario!

And I'm really looking forward to the next 'fest category! I voted for freak accidents because, yeah.

First, let me say how glad I am that you did not have Peter do the stupid thing and remove the scissors. Prevention worth a pound of cure. Second, there is a reason why my car scissors are kid's safety blade, round tip scissors. And why would Neal not have a really nice scissor sheath for those scissors? Especially a Victorian pair, with a nice victorian cover!
Loved Peter's solution to get Neal help. Go to the accident scene or try committing a crime, there must a cop somewhere when you need one!!

Actually, have you been watching the new show Scandal? It had been on after Grey's Anatomy, and is quite good, but anyway now that I think of it, i realize a character was murdered just in this way. And what's his bonehead GF do when she walks in on him, writhing on the floor? That's right, remove the freaking things. Stupid. I was shouting at the screen. (though one terrific thing about the scene was the sheer AMOUNT of blood - I've never seen a broadcast tv show go THERE, know what I'm saying? I mean, it was like a LAKE of blood)

So anyway, nope, no sheath for Neal's shears, and that sounds dirty now... Sure, he knows better NOW! WIth scissors sticking out of him!

Don't watch Grey's Anatomy anymore and anything after 10PM is just a little too late for me to watch. When WC was on at 10, I used On Demand the next day. Plus the DH is a big baseball fan and it's better live! Yea, "no sheath" does sound dirty
