Poor Neal, that just sounds really horrible. Not that it should sound good. I loved Peter's sarcasm to everyone else too.

I voted for emotional truama for the next H/C fest but after this now I want freak accidents. They were tied when I voted.

I don't know what it is about this story I have read worse whump stories before and seen worse on TV but this just squicked me for some reason. Maybe it is the neck. I am glad Winterstar was able to avoid being hurt.

I think ti might be because people see it as something that could actually happen in RL. I mean, we can shoot Neal and Peter up until the cows come home, but it's not real, somehow, you know?

I can only echo what everyone else has said. And add that I will now be utterly paranoid about anything vaguely sharp while in the car *shudders*. Loved it, looking forward to more freak accident fics...with puppies. :) (of course with my mind permanently in kink mode...puppies to me isn't just the furry four-legged kind lol)

Wow, I have certainly never seen this scenario in fic before! :D (Although there was a CSI Miami ep a while back where one of the main characters got nail-gunned in the eye. That still freaks me out to remember -- eyes are one of the things I'm squicky about.)

I loved Peter being so lovely and reassuring to Neal, and having no patience for people who wouldn't help. And poor Neal! This was great :)
