I always did wonder what people thought of him just jumping down in the middle of the street! That was a really neat idea.

Jump rings? I didn't know they had a name! Or at least, I never thought about that. But heee! Of course Mozzie has a chainmail backup plan.

Your mind continues to amaze me. :D

Realistically, of course, hundreds of people would have seen him, and it would have been up on all the social media sites (and probably YouTube) in seconds. But I liked the idea of one little girl being the only one to be paying attention. :) And then I had to think about how she might react.

And yep, they're jump rings! I make maille jewelry, because I am weird. :D

The best thing about drabbles is that I never have to decide between two ways to take a prompt. :)

Aww, that first one is great! Made me smile! :)

And the second, lol! Of course Mozzie's making chainmail, you never know when it might come in handy!! :)

Thank you!

And Moz is not the guy to be caught flatfooted by a sudden chainmail emergency. :D

I always found it hard to believe that his hat would stay on, or that no one saw him. Maybe just a typical day in downtown Manhattan!

Me, too! :) Though you do develop a certain amount of tunnel vision in a city. The other day, my boyfriend completely failed to notice a guy riding down the street right past us.

He was on a unicycle. And it had handlebars.

I love both of them - especially the first one. I've always explained in in my head that no one noticed because, hey, New Yorkers! We can't be bothered by anything that's not on our smartphone screens.

Also, just one little note. Before he parachuted off the 49th floor, Neal tossed his hat out and it magically just drifted to the street where he landed. No cross currents, no stiff breezes to send it floating through the canyons of Lower Manhattan.

Ooops! Darn. It's these little details that get you.

*ponders* Hmm, I'll have to think about how to fix that. Thanks for the heads-up, and for reading!

I remember being more annoyed that he just found his hat on the street than he parachuted off the 49th floor (too low) and landed and no one notice.

And oh, quite ironically, when you posted this, I was looking at bulk-buying jump rings for a chainmaille project.

Really creative drabbles. Love the little girl one especially.

Thank you! Most of these have been silly, but occasionally a more serious idea sneaks its way into my absurd head. :)
