title: No Show Fee : 05.b. Fare Difference
author:
yumeyanafandom: dong bang shin ki / super junior
pairs: JaeMin, JaeHae, YehHae (YooSu, KangTeuk, etc.)
rating/genre: PG-13/ drama, angst, humor, romance
summary: They say love waits. But the question always is, until when? It was all YunHo's fault actually. If it weren't for him, Donghae most probably wouldn't have fallen for JaeJoong. Probably.

Author’s Notes: It’s been weeks since my last update and I’m sorry for all leaving you all hanging like that. My hand still hurts like hell but I’ll try to write little by little. I can’t stay away much from them, can’t I? ^^
Disclaimers: None of the Dong Bang Shin Ki and Super Junior boys are mine, only the plot is.

No Show Fee : Fare Difference
It was something like the last song syndrome or something close to that effect.
It was YunHo’s fault actually. He was animated and excited when he talked about something he liked or something good just happened to him. He looked more like a child, looked younger than Donghae. He even surpassed JunSu’s ability to light up a room when he and Hyukjae were together.
And on that day, YunHo was just like that.
Heechul was already counting backwards, trying to keep himself from gagging YunHo. They knew how the dancer was when he was excited about something and Heechul was hyung. That and Donghae would never forgive him for hurting one of his favorite hyung (not that Heechul wasn’t a favorite, too). But that day, Donghae thought, he could’ve forgiven him.
After all, it wasn’t something YunHo was excited about. It was someone.
And Donghae was possessive.
Apparently, this JaeJoong was someone he met before SM Entertainment, before Donghae. They were co-workers that became buddies in those odd jobs YunHo had before. Now, said JaeJoong was going to join them for dinner and wasn’t that great, YunHo asked. Donghae inwardly sighed and smiled. Heechul rolled his eyes-Who’s cooking?
Donghae could swear he wanted to scream right then and there.
He couldn’t decide if the walk to the apartment the three of them shared was the longest one or the shortest one they’ve ever had. All he thought about that time was how horrible this JaeJoong could be-he could be some Darth Vader-looking person who breathed as if the air was always contaminated. He probably had big, black eye bags under his eyes. Or he could have this ugly nose ring.
But of course, as with all people who assume, Donghae was horribly wrong.
JaeJoong was nice. He had big, pretty eyes-ones that lit up when he smiled. He cooked like a professional; his kimchi jiggae was the best one he had ever tasted and Donghae loved kimchi. He loved Heechul’s fashion sense and told YunHo off for stealing Heechul’s clothes. He treated Donghae like family.
He was perfect.
Donghae watched JaeJoong’s profile from the veranda door, thinking if he should stay like this or if he should call out to the latter. He could remember crying that night, remember JaeJoong’s panicked voice as he rushed out of the apartment. He could not face him, not with all that guilt. It was a good thing that Yehsung’s apartment was just close; he didn’t know anywhere else to go.
Hyung.
JaeJoong turned around, eyes widening for a second before softening. He remembered the same look when JaeJoong showed up in Yehsung’s apartment that same night, offering him a smile and some ice cream. He had cried hard, harder even when JaeJoong wrapped his arms around him.
And at that moment, Donghae fell in love.
I can help you.
Maybe.
But JaeJoong fell in love with ChangMin.
It wasn’t as if the older one told him-or anyone for that matter-it was just obvious. Donghae never cried when he realized it, never even told anyone how heartbroken he was. Yehsung never asked what the matter was; he just hugged him when Donghae asked to be hugged. He closed his eyes and just let things pass by. Some of the greatest love stories were unrequited, he told himself.
Then ChangMin left Korea.
He left JaeJoong behind.
And JaeJoong ran into Donghae’s arms.

Hey, Min.
JunSu plopped on his bed-their bed-staring at their glow-in-the-dark-filled ceiling. YooChun had painstakingly placed each star, each planet there when they first moved in. He remembered looking at YooChun funny, saying something about being thirty, but the latter just smiled and said that wouldn’t it be nice to sleep under the stars, Su?
Hyung. Something’s wrong with you, I can tell.
I fucked up, Min. Completely fucked up.
