I'm going to do physics at the University of Washington (Seattle). It was tough turning down some of the other options -- very tough in two cases -- but in the end I decided they have the closest match to what I want to study.

I will probably be this guy in 40 years.

At the end of Mass this morning:
"Are there any announcements? ... No? ... This IS a Catholic church, right?"

This one aired for a month or two.

This one was taken off the air after one weekend.

I've seen a lot of clips now and think I'm really going to have to see the whole series, especially the World War I season. Here Blackadder (who is trying to fake insanity at the time, explaining the weird props) explains how the war started.

[Edit] Animals so far: spider, ladybug, some kind of cat, a bird of prey that I don't recognize (osprey, apparently), spider again.

This time I flew Air India, for scheduling and price reasons (okay, mostly price).

Cons:

• The plane was clearly getting a little old.
  
• It also somehow felt even more cramped than usual.
  
• They kept turning the lights on and off at random times, making it hard to sleep.
