I've seen a lot of clips now and think I'm really going to have to see the whole series, especially the World War I season. Here Blackadder (who is trying to fake insanity at the time, explaining the weird props) explains how the war started.

My friend Emily here is probably getting all the seasons at some point. And yes, the WWI season is my favorite too (from what I've seen).

I've had the series on DVD for years, now, and I'd actually say that the Elizabethan Era is the best of the seasons.

Is that guy in the middle Hugh Laurie?! I had no idea what he did before "House".

Yep, that's him. He's done quite a lot of comedy, mostly with Stephen Fry, I think.
