I gave notice today.

I told the supervisor that I am flexible on dates, so Monday we will sit down and decide how much time they want me to spend training my replacements. I'm not working past Thanksgiving. I'm going to get TEFL certified (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and apply for jobs in Japan. If everything goes smoothly, I'll be ( Read more... )

I think it gets exponentially harder each year to do something big and life changing. You accumulate more stuff, more obligations, more ties.

Cool! I am very impressed and pleased (and a bit jealous). This only goes to show that bravery comes in small, intelligent packages. :)

Have the time of your life. These are the things that you carry with you forever. Go gather memories and adventures and experience and have a grand time doing it! (And keep in touch now and then.)
